We invite persons with all levels of vision impairment, their friends and anyone who wants to join. Volunteer pilots very welcome. Come meet some cool people and do something fun! We’ll be co-hosting with Winnipeg Trails.

Starting Sunday, September 15 at 3pm – Vision impaired riders and pilots meet up at Winnipeg Trails (BikeCheck) at the Forks for a laid back introduction to tandem riding together! First-timer riders and pilots will have a chance to learn more, try out bikes, discuss riding and communication techniques and get tips for having a fun and safe ride from experts at VIRN and other experienced community members.

4pm – Ride with a diverse group. Join the Winnipeg Trails all ages and abilities Sunday rides at 4pm. Styled as “ride with me: explore the city ride series” this ride series is a mix of people from the community and a ton of fun. Routes are adapted to the skill set and comfort of the assembled riders. We’ll decide together how far we want to go. Great for beginners and experts alike. Expect a stop for a treat along the way! ENDS Back at the Forks by 6pm.

Bikes and headsets are provided. Numbers are limited but we have 7 tandems available + whomever brings their own so we can accommodate a sizeable group.

We will be meeting at the Winnipeg Trails HQ at the Forks.  It is located in the south “atrium” of the main Forks Market building. Entrance is off the main patio, 15m southwest of the outdoor bar. Look for a red carpet and big willows in red pots. There are signs at most entrances. For any help finding location on site, text or call Doris at 204-793-0245.
